Excellent protection for our telescope.

Perfect fit for our Celstron Nextar 6se. We can add our Star Sense auto-leveling camera and a few other small details. A little heavier than we would like but we have no doubt it will protect our investment. The pick and pull foam was easier to install than we thought.

Great Item in Camera Bags

Large Size. This is a pelican, they are always of excellent quality. Don't forget to measure the depth of your items. Often times, the dimensions given refer to the size of the entire pelican and not to the internal dimensions, which are just as important for this type of product. only ten. That includes the telephoto lens that I have.

Works great, great quality

I bought this case a few years ago to take tools with me on international trips. I removed the foam and packed the box in a Craftsman blow mold. Works perfectly! Still works great after trips to Africa, Australia, American Samoa, Germany, Hawaii, New Guinea and local trips. I usually fill it up to a maximum luggage weight of 100 pounds. It definitely outlasted my luggage. I would buy this again, no doubt.

Excellent as always - camera and photo

The Pelican has always been a great product. I bought them to store tools in high humidity. I put the tools and desiccant inside and am sure they are protected. This is actually the second large Pelican case I've owned (along with other smaller ones) and I've never had a complaint. Please note: They are folded tightly and have a certain weight even when empty. This might not be the best travel option unless you need serious protection and aren't concerned about the weight.

  • So far so good

Great protection for your gear

Pelikan cases have an excellent reputation for protecting expensive and sensitive gear, and with good reason. The 1610 case lives up to that reputation. I have two of these to carry camcorders and accessories. Once the foam fits my gear perfectly, the whole thing sits snugly against the protective pad of the inner protective layers. After investing in hardware, it makes sense to spend a little more to protect it. I have used other Pelican cases for years and one had no damage and even the…

The only way to transport expensive equipment!

Pelican cases are new to me, I've seen them used in film school to protect some fairly expensive equipment. I figured if they could handle what the students gave them, they could handle just about anything. I needed a particularly deep housing for my video equipment and the 1600 didn't fit. I was a bit skeptical about the wheels but they have proven very useful for moving my stuff from place to place and they are very durable. Dense foam is great: It's easy to create an efficient layout for all

Excellent Pelican 1610 case, just note the foam rubber on the bottom.

This is my 4th Pelican case. I know its amazing quality and very durable. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because unlike other Pelikan cases, in this case the bottom layer that touches the bottom of the case doesn't completely cover the entire surface of the case. I don't know if it was a bad design or if the Pelican just got cheap, but they just have a square in the middle that leaves some areas open. floor foam. Also, I didn't want anything I kept ending up in an unprotected area. I…
