From professional shooters

Worked great! Pros: 1. I fired .45 Auto, 9mm, AR-15 5.56, Mk 46 5.56 belt-fed in open range and another AR-15 in indoor range.2. They take AAA batteries. It seems to be taking a long time. 3. When you turn the knob all the way, it's like supersonic listening. They still block out all loud noises as advertised.4. I wear it with a cowboy hat and an Ops Core Fast Helmet Tactical Helmet and they fit nicely around my neck. I also had eye protection and the seal stayed good. Cons: 1. Batteries are a…

Not everything is so fabulous.

I have six pairs of electronic headphones and these are the second worst. Given that the worst #1 is a 10-year-old Sportsman's Guide heirloom that's been vacuumed from day one, that's not so good. I'm assuming you need them (like me) to be able to wear a helmet and in theory you can put your ACH on and the headband, as there isn't one, won't get in the way. The thinner top edges aren't thin enough and when you walk or run (or move at all) they fall out of your ears. If you're not wearing a…

OK if you wear a hat but it still gets hot

My previous set of these things broke after 10 years. I bought them as a backup. (I've since switched to tactical hearing protection, which costs three times as much.) I have some sort of earmuff so I can wear earmuffs and not feel pressure on my head. These muffs also allow me to take my hat off and adjust it or keep my hair out of the way. They work great, but my large bowler hat required me to bend a wire behind my neck to fit my head. For real. The constant pressure of the hearing…

Great if you get a pair that works Battery replacement PROBLEM

I had trouble with this review because I liked the first pair I bought about 15 years ago. Autumn Crisp Leaves was TOO loud when I turned the volume up. It was great to hear sounds or conversations that you otherwise would never have heard. Great for training yourself to move/be quieter. Their shape makes them great for long gun shooting, and you can wear any brimmed hat (or woman's hairstyle)! The latter died from battery corrosion. I hate that about this design. Replacing batteries is SO…
