Great ladder for cockatiels or small birds. Not as expensive as at the pet store. If you have a large bird, you may want to use a larger diameter ladder as your bird will quickly gnaw through it.

My budgies have lots of use of this ladder, the same wooden material your standard bird dowels are made of. The only thing that could be better would be if it had some of those natural imperfect perch materials, but my birds aren't attached to it. Just climb on it so it's ok

Our parrots love this ladder and it fits our medium sized cage. It feels sturdy and I'm sure it will last a long time. My only complaint is that it's hard to fully clean. I use soap and an old toothbrush or scrub brush to clean it.

I bought this for gerbils to get them to the second level as I don't like plastic in their cage. They were very good at climbing it, but they soon realized it was a tree and most of it was destroyed when 24 hours had passed. I'm sure this will work very well for a small bird, but not rodents.
