Fisheye pocket lens

I used it for a few photos but it works very well. I plan to take it with me for more creative outdoor photography this spring.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • There are cons

Funny pint size lens

Funny fish eye at a great price. Sharper than expected for the price, provided you focus very carefully using the magnified manual focus view. The fixed f/5.6 aperture is great for shooting outdoors and even indoors in low light, thanks to the Pentax Q's excellent built-in image stabilization and subtly higher ISO values. This lens is cheap, fun and surprisingly capable. Act!

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others

Interesting lens! for lenses

I've never used Fisheye but it's a fun little lens. I wish I had Autoficus but I knew before I bought it. There is no such thing as infinite focusing, so don't plan on focusing to a long distance and just leave it wide open. I don't see any of this as negative. The price is good and it's a nice little lens. You might want to buy one of the very small neoprene sleeves for sale here because it's nice to have extra protection

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Great little lens for the price. Use focus peaking and you're done.

I found this to be a pretty good little lens when you turn on the focus function. I find it takes great ultra wide pictures and is pretty easy to focus on. However, as with most fisheye lenses, care must be taken not to scratch the front element of the lens. I love my little Pentax Q - it's so easy to travel with!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No insurance

Amazing lens at a fantastic price

I bought this with some trepidation - I'm not a big fan of that whole toy lens - and was really shocked at the quality. To give you a clue, my favorite 35mm lens is still the impressive Pentax 135 1.8 ED; these days he lives on my K20d. On Q I have 01 Prime, 02 Short Zoom and 06 Long Zoom and 03 Fisheye. The latter, while slow, is poignant and glorious. And addicted. Bought a second one for my daughter; Otherwise I would never have got mine back.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

More fun than I ever imagined!

I've never been a big fisheye fan because the lenses seemed so expensive for something that is rarely used compared to a regular focal length lens. But as a Q owner, this one was incredibly cute and inexpensive. I'm glad I took the plunge - this lens is very common on my Q! Technically, it's not as sharp as a Prime, and obviously lacks some features like autofocus, a built-in shutter, aperture, and the Zoom and Prime ND filters. However, some of these problems are mitigated by the tremendous…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Very expensive
