OH BABY A K-Triple II

I bought this camera about a week after it came out. I previously had a D5300 (thrown away) and wasn't sure whether to go with the D7200 or the K-3II as both are in the same price range. That's why I chose the K-3ii. No Flash: I don't use flash that much and have seen myself with a separate flash even when I had the d5300. GPS: I was skeptical about the GPS on this one. It takes about 10 seconds to set up the built-in GPS on the D5300. Therefore, every time the screen turned off, it had toโ€ฆ

Pentax. Antiplastic Cannikon.

I love Pentax cameras and I love the fact that I can put a 30 year old or shiny new lens on and it works with lens stabilization. If you're about to buy a step up from a basic DSLR, this is the camera for you. I went to your local store and put my hands on all the stacks of nikons and canons that are under 2k then ordered this camera and put it in my hands. You will immediately understand that you made the right decision. Rugged, weatherproof magnesium alloy body with integrated GPS and. Theโ€ฆ

Poorly. I would like to wait another week and I .

Bad. I wish I could have waited another week and saved $10! Good. All. (No specs here - get them elsewhere.) This is my fifth digital camera from Pentax. I recently sold everything thinking I would go mirrorless. But after a whole week of research (tutorials, videos, reviews, ratings, etc.) I realized that this camera is all I need. So, at just over $700, the solution was simple. Very small compared to other DSLRs. Built like a tank. Fits perfectly in my hands. Easy to carry for a few hoursโ€ฆ

The best camera at an incredible price

Update January 19, 2017 One of the reasons I bought the K-3II was the ability to shift pixels. I have to say I'm amazed at the increased resolution and dynamic range. I recently did HDR in combination with pixel shifting. The results were just incredible. When viewed 100% on a 27-inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel monitor, the image is still crisp with incredible detail. It's the kind of sharpness and micro-contrast I've only seen on high-resolution medium format cameras. The benefit of this discovery isโ€ฆ

Just great. best DSLR

How about 6 stars? I've been a Pentax fan since 1973 - I grew up (and went to college) with the Pentax Spotmatic F. to my roots with the SLR. DSLR to be exact. After a long search, the K-3II seemed to be the best compromise between quality (image sensor) and flexibility (lens choice). This camera is really fun. I've had the Canon G series for almost 10 years) but it makes sense once you get used to it. You need to remember what the front and back dials do in relation to the current menu and you

Much more camera for the dollar!

I originally looked at the Nikon D5500. They share the same Sony sensor, and while both lack an anti-aliasing filter for better resolution, Pentax gives you a built-in anti-aliasing option (with its Pixel Shift technology), a weatherproof body (and lentils) so much more. , pixel shift resolution for more color saturation, pentaprism vs. PentaMirror viewfinder (much brighter), two SD slots instead of one, GPS with GeoTracking (the lack of a miniature flash on the camera is not a problem for me โ€“
