Pentek P 250 Under Water Filter Review

I finally went to the installation (bought in the spring) and found that the activated carbon filter was broken in half and completely unusable. I've bought them several times and never had this problem. I suspect it happened during the shipping process.

Have been using them for years. As mentioned by other reviewers, when the water flow slows down, it's time to change the filters. About every six months for me. Make sure you have spare O-rings and lube on hand - O-rings don't last forever. O-ring part number that fits me: 151231 (I'm using an American Plumber WLCS-1000 system)

I've used this filter set for years in my GE under sink filtration system. Better price than original filter with the same water quality. These filters last about 6 months in my custom setup. These filters filter out any contaminants that may be present in most municipal water systems. The water quality tastes excellent.

I've been using these filters for a few years now and they work well. We used to have great water in Washington County, Oregon, but they recently switched sources and now I can taste the chlorine. These filters completely remove that unpleasant taste. Filters last about six months. The water flow eventually slows down by about 30%, which is another sign that they need to be replaced. When you put new filters in, the water actually flows again.
