Bought these to practice brush writing - they are great for a beginner like me. I was looking for something for my bullet magazine (moleskin; 5 x 8 1/4 inches) and used tombows, but found them a little big for what I wanted to do. These Pentels are absolutely perfect. !Easy to use, works well in small spaces (and large ones!) and a good color palette I didn't notice any glare, but there are halos.

These are by far my favorite calligraphy pens. The colors are very saturated and the feathers are very flexible. Not as strong as the Tombow marker brush, but enough to allow you to create many variations between thick and thin strokes. I am new to modern calligraphy and have done a lot of research on brush pens. I've seen it recommended over and over again. These Pentel Sign Pen Brush (Flexible Point) are AWESOME pens!
