Fantastic straight out of the box.

If like me you're a little savvy with networking, this is a fantastic solution for maximizing what you can get from two separate internet connections. Works right out of the box. 2 WAN connections are set up, which perfectly balance the load and, if necessary, are merged. I love how much control this device gives me. Want to use one WAN per specific device/IP address for lowest ping? Do you understand. Want to create bandwidth groups so specific devices always have enough power? Do you…

220Mbps Throughput with Easy Setup

It loses 2 stars because it is not obvious that it has a top speed of 220 Mbps. That's the maximum you can get with the simplest configuration, with no features enabled that can reduce throughput. You can easily deduce from the most well-known product information that it can go up to 1Gbps, but that's the WAN port speed for your ISP. It doesn't matter as it means your LAN will never see more than 220Mbps. To be fair to PepLink, you can head over to the support forums on the site and find out…

Reliable Well-Built Multi-WAN Multifunction Router

Update: (downgraded to 4 stars) We've had an issue for the last month or so that caused the modem to hang and have to be restarted and turned off every 1-2 days, which usually happens at startup in the will be found tomorrow. . The device does not respond to ping and cannot be accessed via the web admin tool or SSH. I'm not sure what the problem is, but Peplink support has responded even though the problem hasn't been fixed yet. Original Review December 2015: Like many other reviewers, I have…

Observe limits. The documentation for these devices is pretty sparse, it's hard to find the information I wanted. First, if you use DDNS, this will not re-register the DDNS address. Second, it cannot work in drop-in mode. So it must be NAT. So setting up behind two routers would require port forwarding and I couldn't get the port forwarding to work properly and please note that I'm no ordinary Joe, I've been a sys and network admin for 15 years. It was damn hard to know if the ports were gig…

Good for routers

I work from home so reliable internet is a must. I relied on a DSL connection when cable failed, and while I didn't have to, it quickly became obsolete when I did. I decided it was time to invest in a dual WAN router. The choices in my price range were pretty limited and most didn't sound too hot. I chose this one mainly because everything else looked like undeniable garbage. But I'm so happy I did. Out of the box it worked perfectly. For a while I was suspicious of having both WANs on at the…
