Observe limits. The documentation for these devices is pretty sparse, it's hard to find the information I wanted. First, if you use DDNS, this will not re-register the DDNS address. Second, it cannot work in drop-in mode. So it must be NAT. So setting up behind two routers would require port forwarding and I couldn't get the port forwarding to work properly and please note that I'm no ordinary Joe, I've been a sys and network admin for 15 years. It was damn hard to know if the ports were gig. Some information about the network led me to believe it was just fast ethernet. Some information on their forum from one of their techs led me to believe he had a gigabit so I bought it. However, the front of the device itself said it was only 100MB when I received it. So completely frustrated I decided to test it and initially found that it was 100 megabytes. Out of curiosity I updated the firmware to make sure it works on gigabit! How hard can they make it harder to find that information? I called their tech support and was connected to a knowledgeable person fairly quickly, so that's a bright spot. In the end, I found that what I wanted to do required the next step from this model, which is orders of magnitude more expensive than this device. Decided to return, thanks to Revain for handling the situation just beautifully. No regret.
