This toner works TOO well lol. I bought it to tone down some red/orange undertones at the roots and it did the job, neutralizing the warm tones well. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts not to dye my hair blonde, I now have teal streaks in my hair lol. Definitely important. I used to use blue shampoos before but no change. First photo before, second after. My hair is naturally very dark brown, dyed a shade lighter. The product will help get rid of orange tones, which inevitably appear a few weeks after staining. It's also less messy than my (expensive) blue shampoo. I am satisfied and will buy again.

Update: If I leave it on wet hair for 30 minutes and rinse, it removes brass very well, at least for a couple of shampoos. Back: I was very excited because people said their hair turned green. I have very dark brown hair with caramel highlights (bleached). I leave it on for 5 minutes, my hair doesn't turn green. I started with two minutes and did a quick flush just in case, but now I can last 5+ and I'm fine. It definitely softens the brassiness that my highlights have taken on. I have naturally dark ash brown hair but it turns gray so I've been dying it at home regularly for the last few years. The color looks good for the first week, but then it slowly shows orange tones. I have a cool skin tone so I needed something to keep the brown from turning orange. I just finished a bottle of The Perfect Brunette Toning Mask and am about to buy a second one. I love it! It was perfect for my color and I highly recommend it if you're a brunette trying to stay away from orange!

I love Pravana products. The purple mask is amazing. It's terrible. It's a very dark turquoise (close to eyelid color) and even my brunettes who are naturally brunettes have turned green. Like a green Shrek for the days!

I also have the green effect. :(First I fixed it with coconut oil for a few minutes, shampooed with Prell and finished with Alterna conditioner. The green was gone, but unfortunately my dyed medium brown tone also suffered. Best for very dark hair as I said.
