I tested this by leaking some propane at my shop. He spotted the gas under my nose. Will be using this to check the connections on my caravan, especially when working on propane lines.

This product gave me so many conflicting readings ranging from acceptable levels to high levels of toxic airborne chemicals in the SAME room. This product does not work as it should. Try a trusted brand instead.

The box was missing some instructions. First insert AA batteries and remove the o-ring at the end of the battery, tighten to get a good connection. The first one I got didn't work, but Perfect Prime sent me a new one. Haven't found my leak yet, but I'll trace the gas line once the crates are removed.

The calibration time described does not reflect the actual performance of the device (120 seconds over 200 seconds are reported). It seems all the reviews left were for a gas detector, not an HCHO (formaldehyde)/TVOC detector. I bought one to measure the HCHO in my house. Pros: 1. It's cheap.2. You can see the reading changing rapidly when you move or when the window is open and the wind is blowing. It's very portable. Disadvantage: 1.
