Depends on what you use it for

I would recommend spending the extra money and getting a good quality outlet if you use it every day. I work at the dealership and use this 7/8 socket every day and started to notice the inside rounding up and finally splitting in half today when trying to loosen the nut. I'd say this is a good outlet for occasional use, but not for everyday use multiple times a day.

Pros
  • An absolute legend

but otherwise great, I do all the bike sockets that I had.

Maybe 1mm thicker than my old Napa wheelhead set but other than that it's great all the wheelheads I've had, I usually use them without the plastic bushings and everyone makes a set of wheelheads small enough to fit even the tightest holes in aftermarket wheels. Scratching the wheels is YOUR fault, not the fault of the sockets. So plastic bushings really aren't needed unless you're just sloppy and in a hurry to make nice wheels. It's called hacking when you're scratching customer wheels. Take a

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • A few quibbles

Plastic teflon bushing is removable if your custom wheels have very small nut/bolt holes. I have some new three piece Incurve wheels that are painted rather than powder coated. It barely fits, but I can see right away that it won't scratch the paint and the socket shape holds the nut tight. Very good value for money.

Pros
  • Perfect for a small home
Cons
  • Fragile

A very specific multi-purpose tool

Used on Mercedes 17mm flower shaped hex nuts. Have only heard good things about it (including from the parts department at a Mercedes dealership). I had to return mine as my tool was broken and didn't fit my nuts. I think that happens once in a million! Upon closer inspection I noticed that the metal connector was stuck in the socket and I found it easier to return than to try to machine it properly and void the lifetime warranty.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

These are NOT thin-walled sockets

These are NOT thin-walled sockets. They are not suitable for wheels that require thin wall bushings. They are just as wide, if not wider, than a regular outlet (photo attached). The sockets and the little case they come in are pretty good, color coded and go well with a percussion gun, but if you can't use it, what's the good of it. As for the pictures, I compared a nest of the same size to give you an idea of how thick the "walls" are. It doesn't even fit my wheels while my regular head doesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The best in their niche
Cons
  • There are problems
