Otherwise a nice and sturdy bin

A bit small. Not the fault of the product. It's fine for changing 5 liter oil or gear oil, but it's really full and difficult to lift to drain without spilling. Otherwise a fine and stable drain bucket.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not the best

Path to flexibility: tools and equipment

This product is made of very thin plastic - greater rigidity would be a great advantage when working with viscous liquids. The poor man's mouth is too small, and even with a slug drop, your oil, liquids, etc. will spill over the rim and make a mess.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Disappearance

Great motorcycle drain pan

I needed an oil drain pan for my Harley Softail. This pan is low enough to slide under the engine to catch the used oil. The capacity is sufficient for drained oil. It is strong enough to pour the oil into another container without spilling everywhere. A shoulder is formed in the pan to facilitate draining of the oil.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Draining sponge too small

Has served its purpose, but hardly. It may be my fault for miscalculating but my car uses 5.2 quarter tons of oil - when I drained the oil it filled up about 1 inch from the top of the sump which was very difficult to get into mine to pour waste oil container. It's so full it's IMPOSSIBLE to put oil in because the drain lip is too small so I spilled about 1QT on the floor. I have an application for other smaller engines like my snow blower or mower.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • high price

Spills everywhere are best in Funnels

I think it does the job. Ordered for an oil change in the car. It's small for me. It's not wide enough to just put it under the car and let it do its thing. As the flow of oil slowed, I had to move it to keep the oil from spilling on the floor. Also when trying to put old oil in a bottle, the small filler neck doesn't work. It went everywhere. No matter how careful I am, it still spills. So, in summary, it should be wider and the filler lip sharper to reduce the risk of spillage.

  • Absolute Legend
