Both joints around the hook came loose after a few weeks. Instead, I tied the rope with bowline knots. Still a decent deal for 2 carabiners and swim rope. Just don't count on rope connections to last.

I bought this tow rope to tow our pickup truck when it got stuck while plowing in the snow. The first and only time we used it, the metal tow hook completely detached from the cable. My husband asked me to order two and I was glad I only ordered one to try first. Do not buy this for serious work.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that this product, while inexpensive, is actually very well made and has a 3,000lb working load and seat belt webbing (many upright or pulling my 4 wheeler uphill). I have no doubt that he will serve me well. I don't plan on using it regularly, it's just one of the many things I have in my quad trail kit.

I've been looking for a really strong tow rope for a long time and here it is. I have the same old one that still works after 15 years of heavy use but has started to look a little worn. I was so glad I found a replacement for him. We use our brushcutter towline to pull small trees on our property so it's very useful. The only improvement I would make would be to make a small clamp to securely attach it to the truck's tow eye because sometimes it slips when the cable is slack.
