Description of Permatex 26240 Permanent Strength Threadlocker

A permanent, high strength product that is applied to fasteners 3/8" to 1" in size before assembly. Designed for securing parts that must withstand heavy shock, vibration or extreme chemical or environmental conditions. Lcoalized heating and hand tools are required to separate parts. Suggested Applications: Assembly with air tools, cylinder block bolts, ring gear bolts, transmission shaft bolts.

Strong Sealant Keeps Auto Parts Intact

When I tried this threadlocker on my car, I was impressed with its strength and durability. Screw locks have a limited shelf life

I got this when I discovered that my two old screw locks were no longer hardening. Permatex did what it was supposed to do. Once opened, expect a lifetime of several years in the original packaging. My oldest was over 5 years old.
