Too rough, unusable for my application

Too rough for modern precision engine valves. It may be fine for lapping valves on a 1948 tractor, but too coarse for my use on motorcycle valves. It literally feels like road gravel suspended in heavy fuel oil. They don't actually give a grit rating on the packaging. I ended up finding a much better two-grain combo pack (120 and 280) at my local auto parts store.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Worked great for loosening stuck side cutters!

I'm an experienced electrician but there was an inexperienced moment and I used my new wire cutters like a hammer. The problem is that I hit harder than they did. You needed 2 hands to open and close it. I've tried everything to solve them but to no avail. I worked 5 min in this product. then washed with WD 40. Repeated again for 2-3 minutes. then rubbed and washed again. They are like new if not better!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Disappear

Off label use for screws slipping off

I bought this connector to add extra rigidity to the screws when the screwdriver or bits start to slide over the screws. I find this especially helpful when trying to remove Phillips head screws which can have the head loosen making removal much more difficult. A light touch with the tip of the screwdriver is enough while I press on the screw and turn the screwdriver. An excellent product to always have at hand, even if I've never sharpened a single valve!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Suitable for sharpening reel mower blades.

I bought this paste to sharpen the blades on an old drum mower. After cleaning, I adjusted the blades so they were close enough to the mower to scrape it as it turned, applied an abrasive paste to the edge of the blades, and then sat for a while spinning the wheels. With each pass of the blades, the abrasive compound sharpened the blades as they hit any part of the mower. It worked so well that very little was applied to each blade.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

You won't believe!

I have a 72 inch mower deck under a 30 hp tractor. It's driven by a 240-inch belt that runs through all three reel pulleys from the PTO shaft. If the grass is healthy, the belt will slip resulting in a bad cut. Many years ago an aircraft mechanic told me to put valve lapping paste on the belt. I've been doing this for years and the results are incredible. I thought this would prematurely age the belt, but I've never experienced that. I think it works partly by taking the shine off the pulleys…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
