I love this halter! We initially ordered a cheaper halter from a veterinary chain. It was much smaller than the description. We then ordered the next size up from the same vet and it turned out to be too big. After some more research and reading reviews we ordered it and it's perfect. Bought this for my mini jersey. She is 6 months old and weighs 185 pounds. I bought size 1. It fits. But it is set to the maximum setting. I should have ordered size 2. But the strap fits her face well. The strap behind her head is a little tight, but I can fit two fingers under it. The belt doesn't seem to bother her at all. I will keep this halter for future calves and will order a different size for my current calf. Overall a great purchase.

The quality of these halters is amazing. We have a Dexter chick and a Dexter/Jersey mix. A purebred 11 month old Dexter will fit in a size 2 with plenty of room. Size 2 was a good choice as she could grow up and still wear the halter. Size 3 is perfect for Jersey/Dexter. A size 3 would be too big for a purebred Dexter. I was very happy with the quality of this product and would buy it again. In the picture with overview is size 2 on Dexter.

After trying a soft leash that disappointed both my dog and I, I found this halter and it was a huge hit! I had to make two tightening adjustments before and after both sides of the o-ring (this was done for cattle, of course). It worked much better at keeping my dogs safe from noise and keeping my eyes off my dogs than a soft leash. Also, it seems more durable overall and my dog seems more comfortable wearing it. I love being adjustable on both sides. Bought a size for a newborn longhorn that needed to be bottle fed for a few days. Currently using it on a recently purchased mini longhorn that is 5 months old. Also bought a size 4 for a 14 month old mini longhorn. Size 4 fits well, there is room for a larger size. Also bought a size 5 to use later or for next season's calf shows if needed. (Different colors for each size. Last fall I bought several S, M, L halters in the same color. It became frustrating
