I don't know why I didn't switch from a point detonator to an electronic detonator sooner. What a difference in performance and to think I don't have to replace and delay again!

I have used PerTronix products before and have always found them to be excellent quality. I would give them five stars if their website was more user friendly. Finding information on this particular item (1163A) is more difficult than it should be.

I bought these for my Mercruiser boat. I had problems resetting points. . No more fiddling with points and the engine runs great. Easy "plug and play” installation. The hardest part is drilling a hole in the manifold for the wire to pass through. tired of your points and looking for a better solution.

Total switching time was 1.2 hours. This included doing ALL the required checks and modifying the disc case slightly.
