What a difference! Just installed in about 5 minutes and the timing was a bit off but this thing got it up and running straight away and is running better than ever. With the timing off, it idled around 300rpm and sounded so sweet. After re-timing and resetting the idle, it starts up so quickly you can barely hear the starter running. I love this product.

Install this on an old Lincoln sa200 that appears to have been rebuilt. I didn't know it was made and due to the lack of visible markings on the distributor cap I wasn't sure I was buying the correct part. When I removed the cover I found the part number stamped on the panel. I've attached a photo of the old one for illustration. As soon as I lowered the new one, it ignited immediately! Although Pertronix assured me that this kit would fit my Prestolite IBT-4701A Manifold and even though I bought the recommended cap and rotor, it just didn't fit. The problem was that the collar lifted the rotor and lid 3/16 inch and didn't allow the lid to stand up and snap into place. I had a long discussion with their tech support but they couldn't solve the problem.
