WE HAD TO FIX IT TO THE WINDOW SILL AS MY ONLY CAT HAS A FEW EXTRA POUNDS THAT NEEDED ADDITIONAL STABILIZATION. OF COURSE THE REVIEW WAS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT A REVIEW WASHABLE OR NOT. DOES NOT RECOMMEND ANY OTHER RESIDENTS WHO MAY THINK OF HOLIDAYS THERE. SO IN LESS THAN A WEEK I TRY OUT ALL THE FEATURES OF THIS CAT BED ON THE WINDOW AND I LOVE IT!

I wasn't sure what to expect but the only piece of metal in the whole product is the zip part so lots of plastic. I wasn't sure if the velcro would be strong enough to hold it on the windowsill without drilling holes. At this point my cat weighs 6 pounds.
