Toby loves it! good for dogs

Initial Review Toby Joe: Wow! I have 2 fleece and 2 mesh (summer and winter). They wash great. Toby is a Pomeranian so he doesn't chew on it but likes to dig and nest before lying down and the cushion holds up to heavy digging very well. A happy fluffy baby makes me very happy!

My dogs love them - beds and furniture

I wish I could say it works as advertised but I don't use it. I have a dog that has used this cover as a kennel mat all winter. We're getting temperatures in the single digits and he's able to get in. Obviously checkmate works because he was out most of the time. I would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Flaws

We live in the Midwest and this is perfect for keeping our dog comfortable in cold weather. Weather permitting we put it on deck during the day and bring it in at night. We have a three season enclosure at the back of our home. When it's too cold outside, she lies down on this self-heating bed inside the enclosure.

Not suitable for active dogs!

We have a 15 lb Maltese, a 70 lb Doberman and a 60 lb Pitbull. We went through 10 beds in 6 months! Dogs love to "make" their beds by circling and scratching. Every single bed broke in less than a week. Our last one lasted 2 days. Dogs don't scratch excessively. When they come from outside, they run and jump on them and they quickly collapse and the stitching on two of them tears. Love the concept, hate the lack of durability!

must buy another one!

3 dogs, a GSD 70#, a Collie 50#, a Pitbull 35# (adult, no pup). Collie refuses to lie on any bed. he is stupid This is what the German shepherd and pit bull are arguing about! She's the boss and pushed GSD out, but they both wanted it. I bought a cooling bed and then this fleece cover separately. About the same size as the average Coolaroo crib (see attached photos). Holds up more and won't sag (I've sat on it with my dogs too and I'm 150lbs myself!) and certainly more durable and warmer than a

Dogs tear them up in a few days or weeks

I mostly have dogs outside, two German shepherds. They crushed them in a few days. To prove my point, there is reflective sheeting in the center of the Sherpa lining, which my dogs easily exposed and then ripped up the rest. Why dogs do it, who knows, but manufacturers need to make a product that won't fall apart when dogs do it. Unfortunately they weren't worth the money but in the few days they lasted they really did their job. I can only recommend products that don't work. If you have a…

Eh I'm not sure I would buy it.

When I read other reviews about hair loss, I think everything is fine, is it really that bad? Yes. He throws and gets under him everywhere and in everything. And when I vacuum it, it gets stuck in the vacuum roller brush and then flakes off on other surfaces that I vacuum later. I have two of these large sizes for both of our Mastiff beds. Considering I have two I don't think hair loss is TERRIBLE but I do notice it all over the house and especially near the beds. Another downside is that the…

Double lined

I like that it is double lined and reversible. I prefer this heat mat to the cooling mat that I also bought for my dogs because the heat mat seems to be more durable and hasn't cracked the corners yet. It would be nice if the heating mat was a different color than just beige so it doesn't look dirty after a few days. The heating mat also started to crack a bit, but the corners were intact compared to the cooling mat. Overall I'm still happy with it because my dogs love to chew on their bedding…
