This is an amazing duvet, very warm and waterproof. Useful advice. Do not wash this item alone. Add some towels or whatever. For some reason, when washed separately, it acts like a sponge and keeps all the water on it. So it takes about 5 drying cycles (on low setting) to dry completely. Throw in a few towels and it barely stays damp and dries after a low tumble cycle. My dog loves this blanket. She doesn't want to sleep on anything else.

Yes, I bought this duvet for my own bed. It's so soft but VERY WARM! Too warm. I should have known better because of the waterproof lining. So I guess I'll give it to dogs :(. It's a great dog blanket to put in the car. The first time I used it in the car my dog threw up on it! My real car is clean. The first time I used it washed it dried out FOREVER I usually dry my clothes on low so I turned the heat on medium and it dries much faster I think too much heat is not good so read the label.

I bought this mainly to cover my dog's bed as it's a lighter color and he likes to get dirty. Although the dog bed has a removable cover, it's still a bit awkward. Pour a cup of water over it to test water resistance. fully deserved! Water collects from above, we press it into the fabric, leave it for a while, it still does not soak. I wish it was a little taller so it dangles off the sides of the bed but it covers the top of a queen bed perfectly. I use this over my blanket because there is snow on the floor 6 months out of the year and my dog likes to roll in it. She also likes to use my bed to dry off/touch after a bath.
