Supplied o-ring too small

Bought for my Honda xr200r 86 but the o-ring supplied is too small OD to fit the tank opening. I will try to replace it with another ring if I find a better one. Otherwise the quality seems to be normal.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons

Poor workmanship

I used it on my XR 250 and am not happy with the quality of the poor molding. It was supposed to be in three positions but it can be rotated all the time and it was the wrong size to fit my stock fuel line and I had to use a different o-ring to seal against the fuel tank and valve mating surface.

2003 Honda XR250R: Gas Tanks

My factory fuel tap started leaking so I started looking for a factory replacement and was almost willing to pay close to $30 for one when I found this one. I wasn't sure I wouldn't buy a factory part but I'm so glad I gave it a try, it's a factory match in every way for my XR250R, fits and works perfectly, I'm so happy with it!

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Compatibility

Fell down right away!

Product fits true to size and easy to swap out; however, it immediately seeped through the handle. I tried tightening the bolts and finally took them apart to look at the inner gasket, which seemed fine but was still leaking. I waited too long to try this so I missed the return window. Hoping to use it with the new Honda OEM seal that some have used to fix the original and see how it fares.

Leaks, o-ring too small, nipples too big see photo

See photo This was bought for a 1999 XR250r. My other honda bikes seem to use the same crane (crf50, 70, 80 and 230). First problem: it is leaking. Apparently this is because the ring is too small. A thicker one will most likely solve this problem. second problem. The faucet nipple is larger than the OEM or carburetor nipple. I was able to run a fuel line over it but it hurt. I will ask for a refund. It leaks worse than the original 20 year old.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Expensive

Leaks and outlet are much larger than the original part

Fuel valve Arrived quickly and installed easily. Really too easy. I would say that the ring that seals the tank was a bit undersized. I get about 20 drops a night on the floor, enough to make the garage stink. If that's not enough, note that the valve outlet is at least 1/16" larger and possibly 1/8" larger than stock. This is annoying because the fuel line, which fits so well with the carburetor, is so much smaller than the fuel tap. I had to cheat to get the fuel line to work. As a result…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • No paint required
