This works really well for our pup who has discovered strings. On the first day she managed to tear off the cord a few meters, but the bitter apple splashed and she left her alone for several weeks.

Some reviews said it was a fish tube! That's absolutely not true! This is a transparent thick plastic tube with a slit in the middle for inserting the wire. My cat chews on every cord in my house so I bought one and used it on my Mac book! This stopped my high performance cat gum!

I was skeptical about buying this cord case because some reviews said it had an unpleasant smell. I feel nothing but plastic, thank god. The cable cover seems to work great. My only complaint is that the lid has a tendency to open at the ends and appear to come loose. I taped the ends with tape hoping it would stay on my cords.

Not sure if this item will put you off, but it certainly fits most standard electrical cords. I've used it for a fridge cord, an extension cord, and a router cord. Easy to apply and offers sufficient coverage. The material is soft enough to be easy to use and thick enough to provide protection from claws and small teeth.

Without knocking my cat's teeth out (which I would never do) and since I can't get my kids to understand that you're playing your headphone chords, iPhone chords, controller playstation -Chords have to drop when you're done - I had to go to Plan B. This is by far my favorite cable protector. I wouldn't say they look GOOD, but they look a lot more streamlined than the typical big, chunky, opaque, crumpled cable protectors I used to encounter until I found them. They fit snugly/closer to the cable than most cable protectors so they stay where I place them and I no longer have the problem of cable ends slipping out of the protector and getting bitten by a cat while I'm not looking.
