My cat loved being in the living room with family but still being hidden. The footrest simply opens. You put the pillow in and put the top back on. We have our own in the camper and Olivia loves it.

In general, this is exactly what I was looking for! The sturdy little stool fits perfectly in my living room, a great little hiding place for when my cat wants to go incognito and looks lovely. The only downside is that the small bottom part that the pet steps over to get into the cube is thin and leans forward. If your pet doesn't want to use it, you can always put it down and turn it around so your guests can't see the entrance. I would recommend this wonderful multipurpose product!

I ordered two, one for each cat. They like stools and they use them. They also go well with home decoration. Only note: I was thinking of putting a thicker and lighter pillow or blanket inside because the one provided seems a bit flimsy and one of my kitties seems to be scared of that dark 'room' so she doesn't dare to go inside . Another cat uses it with no problem. But overall we are all happy with the purchase. It arrived on time and well packaged.

Looking back I wish I had chosen this pet house/ottoman because sometimes my cat sits on it for a minute or two, she is not interested. I couldn't lure her in with catnip or a toy. Also, even if she wanted to go in (which she doesn't want), there's no pillow downstairs. I folded the plush blanket to fit inside and give it a little softness and warmth but she just isn't interested. This is exactly what I was looking for. I needed a place to feed the kitten and keep his food away from the dog. Well, the (medium sized) dog is really determined to put his head in the hole, so I might have to find a way to make the hole a little smaller until he's taught not to.
