I needed a temporary restraint system for my dogs until I had fenced my yard. I attached my personal 30ft leash to the ring and it was strong for 2 large dogs at a time (70lb Weimaraner and 45lb Vizla).

I loved everything about it. I have a very old senior bichon who goes out in the rain and forgets to come in. My garden is fenced but that is to keep it closer to home. Unfortunately the cord was too heavy for her to move around with. I still use it every now and then.

my dog weighs 60 pounds. I'm working on teaching her not to take money from people walking past our fenced yard. She charged and pulled it out of the ground the first time, after 5 minutes it clicked. Obviously she is poorly trained and that will not keep your strong dog.

I really like this product and it is very convenient for our little puppy to be outside in the yard where there is no fence yet. Unfortunately, the end that attaches to the dog's collar or vest has started to rust. I made the mistake of leaving it overnight and it rained that night.
