Petrodex Dental Spray Dog 4 Ounce Review

My dog has severe gingivitis and our vet estimates a cleaning would cost $700-$1500. We received this product on September 6th and now her teeth are 95% clean. This is an amazing product that I highly recommend!

Disappointment with the high price for little money. When I read the ingredients and saw the METHYLPARABEN I asked to go back to Entirely Pets (which was pretty hard to deal with)😕 I avoid getting methylparaben on MY skin. Of course, my pets will not swallow it. Maybe he'll help brush your teeth. but at what cost to your pet's health? Not for me.

I use this product to improve the health of my dog's gums and teeth. I have already purchased this mouthwash and find that it helps make my mouth healthier. It doesn't actually remove tartar unless you use a good quality toothpaste along with it. It can loosen tartar, but the enzyme toothpaste appears to have actually whitened the teeth.

I am sure that a vet appointment and examination would be the best solution if gingivitis in dogs is suspected, however if it is not possible to take the animal to the vet for treatment I think it's better than doing nothing. The "spray" action scared my dog, so I put it on Qtips and just rubbed the gums once a day. It seems to help for a week or so. - So happy I got this!

Tried this product on a dog and a cat. It's a little difficult to hold the cat and try to use the spray. It hit everywhere but the mouth. It's an oily substance, so it ended up on the couch and so did I. The dog didn't even let me spray, ran away. I could use it on him by spraying on a cotton swab and wiping my teeth with it. Nobody liked the product. I was very disappointed after reading all the good reviews.

Funny how it asks for 'taste' - I don't know. But the cats don't seem to care too much. Since they go crazy when they hear someone spraying the product, especially near their head, I spray/spray it onto circular mouth wipes and then wipe/massage their gums and teeth with it. After a few times they got used to it and their oral health has improved significantly. It also improves their mood - they're not as "angry" when their mouths are in good shape. I highly recommend it.

I love this product! I used this on my last dog and the tag and stuff would come off in an instant! Now I use it for my young pooch. Dogs don't mind squirting in their mouths, but they don't seem to mind the taste! I've used other brands and they seem to make my dogs sick so I'm sticking with them.
