This purchase was made for a small collar for a small kitten. I have 2 other collars at home that come off easily. It took quite a bit of force to pull it off. It has a plastic ring with two very sharp tips (in the shape of horns) facing the kitten's neck. Unless you have a kitten over 10 pounds with a very lush, thick coat, this collar can be very dangerous, at the very least uncomfortable. I sent it back.

I bought this for our 9 week old kitten. Everything is a perfect size. Not too loose, not too tight. I removed the heavy piece of metal that contains your pet's contract information as it would bounce against the sides of their bowl while eating. My reason for 3 stars is the breakable clasp. I gave this to my 6 year old niece for Christmas and she loved it. Her cat Peanut seemed unconcerned but was still able to safely remove the collar in seconds, so that's good news. The bracelet is obviously not designed for a small child's wrist, but I couldn't find a smaller version of the bracelet and she really liked this one. I really liked the little locket hanging on the collar. You can write information about your owner on a small piece of paper and roll it up inside the locket. Once he put this collar on my cat, he leaned over the rim of his water bowl and dipped the locket into the water. I'm not sure about the water resistance of the locket. SERIOUS CHOKING HAZARD! I do not recommend anyone to put them on their cats. In fact, these are not "outliers". I discovered this after a traumatic incident the very first day I put it on my kitty. The collar itself is PERFECT. It's well stitched and the elastic stretches slightly so I know my little pal can escape if he really needs to.
