Peugeot Bilbo Decanter Beads for Effective Cleaning Review

This product cleans my decanter perfectly. Fast and easy. Soap is not needed. Best of all, you can pour pearls into the container and then collect them from the decanter, rinse and dry them. Try it with other beads. Definitely recommend this to everyone else!

I bought these to clean a long neck carafe. but these little beads did a wonderful job. My only warning, when you're done cleaning, plug the sink drain and pour the balls into the sink, they're tiny and come out very quickly.

I bought this to clean water bottles. It's not a quick process, but it's great for thoroughly washing small-necked bottles. I just don't feel like bottle brushes are always effective. I had already seen this item at a friend's so I knew what to expect and was willing to spend a few bucks more. I bought this instead of a plain jar because it simplifies the process a bit and air dries the ball bearings.

I tried this on a carafe with a small scale. After following the instructions and swirling the little balls of hot water for a few minutes the scale was still there. I believe The problem is that the balls are round and instead of "rubbing" in the decanter they just roll straight on the scales. I suspect they would work better if they were more irregularly shaped so they don't roll as easily.

I use this for flip top bottles for water and kefir. I wash them right away, so there isn't much to wash, but there is something. I give it 4 stars because it's impractical to keep up with the beads. The first time I used it I threw it in the trash! They're working their way through, but I was afraid I'd have to call a plumber. So my advice is to avoid using them near the sink, especially in the beginning, until you learn how to put them in and take them out of the bottle. You can see pieces…
