never worked; cracked wood

I could never get this salt mill to work. Given the good reviews for Peugeot, I must have received the faulty one. Of course, after a few weeks of ownership, the tree broke at the bottom. I would like to get a replacement if possible as it looks lovely on my counter and fits in my Peugeot pepper grinder.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Discontinued

Great grinders for the kitchen and dining room

I bought the Peugeot Paris Salt and Pepper Mills because my old pepper mill stopped working and I needed a matching set. It wasn't until they arrived that I realized how bad my old set was. My salt and pepper are now perfectly ground to the desired grit and the grinders look great on my desk. I highly recommend the Peugeot Paris mills.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Something different

Failed in less than 3 months.

Well it didn't even last 3 months. It worked fine at first, then slowly started tapping less and less. Now it doesn't fit anymore and no matter how much I turn the disc, it doesn't grind at all. I ended up taking it apart as much as I could and the grinding wheel wouldn't budge. Nothing sticks or rubs. I guess I got a bad one and of course the return window is closed. Spring. *&%^ happened.

  • cool product

  • negative gift

Poor search or performance

OMG - POS, wow - 5 grind positions and none of them work. I am absolutely amazed when I searched for pepper grinders that popped up, the reviews were huge so I bought them. When I hear "S" I worry and then I say "Magic Wood Market". Someone else has returned. Return File - Two-stage pepper mechanism - first splits and then grinds peppercorns - ensures maximum release of flavor and aroma from pepper

Pros
  • salt grinders
Cons
  • disappear

Ground salt doesn't seem to make it into my food.

I hope to enjoy this more when the summer humidity is over. I bought it as a pepper mill helper. I've had one for many years and it still works well. In the meantime, my other salt mill has shut down - it has stopped grinding. So I decided to try this one. Oddly enough, inside is a plastic ring that the salt seems to stick to. Maybe I need to adjust to a coarser grind. But so far it has been unsatisfactory.

Pros
  • kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • boring packaging
