Not suitable for GMC Sierra Pickup

Both Revain and Fram are wrong about this second generation Sierra pickup with a 6.0 liter V8 engine and it seems too small for either of these truck engine options be. It is about half the size of the standard filter and has a completely different thread. We recommend WIX 51522 or K&N HP-2006.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal Filter - Filter

Use these for 2 oil changes they are that good. Good flow and very good filtration. 2 oil changes per filter cost less than $5 per filter. Perfect for my GM with cylinder deactivation. Clean oil prevents tappet problems as dirty oil can easily damage the system. Use only the best filters with AFM/DOD systems.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Okay but I prefer the longer body filter

For GM 4WD trucks I prefer the check valve versions of this filter such as B. the Fram PH3675. Not because of the valve itself (not required for vertical installations), but because the filter is longer, making it easier to install and remove. No, 3675 is not long enough to hang over the bottom of the pot!

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate
Cons
  • Volume

The only one used on my 210,000 miles 04 Silverado 5.3.

Always used frame filter. I have a 210k on my 2004 Silverado and have never had a problem with the engine or the truck in general. With this, after 3000 miles on full synthetics, the engine oil still looks clean on the dipstick (still change the oil every 3000 regardless of the oil/filter used). Makes my truck happy and makes me happy.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Not sure

Check out the anti-slip texture!

Repurchase for my 2002 Trailblazer. What makes it perfect is the non-slip texture that allows it to be removed by hand. I carefully install the filter by hand for easy removal for scheduled maintenance. If you've ever changed the oil on a Trailblezer you know it's difficult to get it out even with a wrench or adapter, so this feature will save you the trouble! This feature alone makes it superior to other filters and worth paying a few dollars more while also saving compared to Mobile 1 oil…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Older model
