Amazing Bulbs: Bulbs

This is a definite improvement over the standard bulb. The LED lamp is installed on the right side while the standard lamp is on the left side in my picture. There's a big difference, great pears.

Doesn't work with 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro

They didn't work in my 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro. After installing it while the car was running, my dash warning went away, but once the car was turned on, the car responds with a loud (and really annoying) beep every time you step on the brakes.

Step on the brakes and turn on the side marker lights and clearance lights!

When braking, these bulbs switch back to position and parking lights and light up as a result. I installed CANBUS resistors but that didn't stop the backfeed. I'm considering installing some diodes to prevent this reverse voltage.

Beautiful pattern but dimmer than standard

Provides good illumination inside the lamp housing (no unsightly dark spots) but much dimmer at HIGH (21W eq) compared to a standard 1157 incandescent lamp. About the same at LOW (5W eq). The difference is so great during the day that I didn't feel safe using these Philips LEDs so I returned them.

LED turn signals for older vehicles

We bought these for the taillights on our 1968 Ford Mustang. The headlights came on but the turn signals either flashed VERY slowly or not at all. Due to the lower power consumption of LED lights, if you want your turn signals to work, you will need to purchase an LED turn signal part to replace the analog turn signal assembly (many are cylindrical). The part costs about $14.
