Philips winner

We were looking for MR-16 incandescent bulbs that can mimic the look of MR-16 halogen bulbs on a dimmer. If you look at 3000K incandescent bulbs (readily available in major stores) they do NOT have the same color balance as same sized halogen bulbs! You become too white. At full brightness, these Warm Glow bulbs match the color of halogen bulbs. They're as bright as the 50-watt halogen MR-16s. And here's the second part: Incandescent bulbs (of which halogen is a sub-type) get redder as they…

  • This is amazing

  • Some bugs

Revolutionary 12V track lighting Lamps

Until now, lamps have either had to compromise on light quality or energy consumption. Halogen bulbs dim beautifully and produce a wonderful, deep, warm glow on low settings. Unfortunately they are extremely inefficient, up to 100 watts per bulb. The LEDs only draw a few watts each, but they dim terribly, producing the same whitish-blue light down to low levels that look unnatural on most settings. This has been our choice so far. Phillips Warm Glow lamps are a game changer. You get the best of

Much dimmer and warmer than others, just what I wanted

I moved into a new house a little over a year ago and one of the things on my list was home automation and replacing all the light bulbs with LEDs. This house had a few lightbulbs, but the built-in lightbulbs in the kitchen were all incandescent. They gave off a great warm glow on the darkest mode, which is exactly what I wanted for evening/tuned lighting, but they got quite hot and seemed to burn out quite often (in one case the "socket" itself seemed to fail) . - This was another fix I solved

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
