Philips Hue Ambiance LightStrip Assistant Review

This is a great premium light strip. It's nice to know I can use it outdoors, but I currently have mine indoors and I honestly like its design more than its indoor version. Note that it's quite thick so you can't easily mount it in places like the back of a TV, but if you're using it on a wall or whatever you shouldn't have a problem. I wish the maximum brightness was a little brighter and the color accuracy, especially reds, a little sharper. It's not a choice in a great product.

That's what happens when you're the first to order this item. As other people have said, the last 6 inches of the strip is not lit. When I first plugged mine in, I'd say about 12 inches didn't light up at the end. I got angry and started the return process. I left the strip plugged in and after maybe another 10-15 minutes the light strip started working. I was hoping it would glow fully, but it didn't. I even changed colors and intensity but no improvement. Luckily, Revane takes that shit back.

I bought this flashlight for indoor use because of the even light. Most LED strips on the market have flare around the LED. I don't like this look. The power supply and Wi-Fi controller are built in very durable plastic, and the light bulbs are built in silicone (the reason for even lighting); I'm sure they are great for wet environments. My light bar worked great for 4 months then stopped working at night while I was dimming. I have contacted Philips to get them to honor the warranty by exchanging 8-10 emails with them and making 2 separate phone calls and they state that they are void of the warranty for products purchased from Revain were, will not be fulfilled. I took a risk despite other reviews, mainly because it's really starting to work. Well I can attest, after spreading the strip on the floor and waiting about 30 minutes, the last few inches of the strip started to take effect! The last inch is a little boring, but everything else is so pretty I don't care if it stays that way. It feels solid and I would believe the waterproof claims.
