Regularly forgets what settings were on

Works as expected. Warning when using multiple bulbs on one switch. Sometimes the bulbs are out of sync with each other and you have to quickly screw and unscrew the naughty bulb to match the others. So I wouldn't recommend installing them in a spot where it would hurt.

Fiction! Yes, it works with lamp switch; not necessarily a wall switch.

This is almost the best thing in the world. I had a "mood lamp" in my living room that required 3 bulbs. Everything I tried was too bright at night as I only needed decorative lighting. That helped. Minimal setup is just perfect! And for those of you wondering like me, yes it works with the lamp switch. It doesn't have to be a wall switch.

Perfection - bulbs

I cannot praise this bulb enough. This is a great alternative to a 3-way bulb, but better and you don't need a 3-way bulb for this. The lowest setting is the most comfortable warm glow. Ideal for evening lighting. I wanted the lamp in our foyer to be dimmer so it would illuminate the foyer all evening without overwhelming it. This lamp delivered exactly what I wanted.
