I cannot praise this bulb enough. This is a great alternative to a 3-way bulb, but better and you don't need a 3-way bulb for this. The lowest setting is the most comfortable warm glow. Ideal for evening lighting. I wanted the lamp in our foyer to be dimmer so it would illuminate the foyer all evening without overwhelming it. This lamp delivered exactly what I wanted. Other spotlights were very useful for other lamps we have. It's so nice that he remembers which one you had last. We will definitely buy these lamps! If you are looking for a very soft glow like mine then get this bulb! You will not be disappointed.
