Fiction! Yes, it works with lamp switch; not necessarily a wall switch.
This is almost the best thing in the world. I had a "mood lamp" in my living room that required 3 bulbs. Everything I tried was too bright at night as I only needed decorative lighting. That helped. Minimal setup is just perfect! And for those of you wondering like me, yes it works with the lamp switch. It doesn't have to be a wall switch.
