My favorite headphones (but always check before you unpack)!

Without a doubt these are my favorite headphones! They sit very comfortably in my ear. I hate traditional headphones - I must have small ear canals or something weird because traditional headphones seem to suck into the ear and put uncomfortable pressure on the inner ear. yes, strange But these Philips headphones are the perfect solution! They have great sound quality and fit easily in my ear canal without sucking weirdly. BUT! If you buy them, you MUST test them before you take them out of the

Old version (SHQ1000/28) vs these (SHQ1200/28)

Firstly I have had the old model SHQ100 for 4 years now and they still work great. I just bought new ones because I ended up losing all the removable rubber "ear tip sizes". I like the new ones even better, especially for the price. I see a lot of comparison reviews but can't see actual numbers so here are the differences: Old model - Philips ActionFit SHQ1000/28 in-ear headphones tuned for sport (discontinued by manufacturer) New models are SHQ1200/28 which are currently available for review…

Cheaply made and poorly fitted

I had high hopes for these headphones as they seem to combine what I like about the old solid plastic earbuds with more modern rubber/silicone earbuds. In fact, there is NO perfect replacement for the discontinued Sony MDR-E10LP. There is a small plastic tab under the cover that is still irritating to the ear on the front edge of the earbud when it is in the ear. The hard plastic under the rubber cap is not shaped at all to conform to the ear and could use a little more shaping to give the…

Quality purchase of in-ear headphones

I bought my first Philips in-ear headphones in 2015 to use for training and all outdoor projects. Although these earbuds have been abused related to the above activities, they have lasted much longer than others. I attribute their longevity to quality design and construction, as well as the fact that I have constantly cleaned and serviced them (reinforcement of the head and repair of the wire casing, commensurate with the age and frequent use of the product). I think my only criticism would be…

Compared to standard Apple headphones

PRO: Significantly better sound quality than the headphones Apple ships with the iPhone and iPod, in particular much better bass. They fit better, are more comfortable and stay in place better when running, jogging or just moving. The package includes two additional sizes of ear tips for people with a larger or smaller ear canal. The cable is longer than Apple's and has a sliding clip that can be adjusted to the length of the cable for attaching to a belt, collar, and more. This comes in handy…
