Moldy Sonic fits electric toothbrushes

So I like the clean feeling after using this toothbrush. It has a built in 2 minute timer which is nice too and the battery stays charged for days. I complain that when I changed my toothbrush head past the suggested time frame of three months, there was mold on the base handle. I'm considering buying something else because using something that has mold near the mouth isn't very appealing.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No mold needed

I really enjoyed this product for about a week

I really liked this product for about a week but after removing the brush to clean the unit I was disgusted to find that it was filled with black mold. Not sure if the sealers are bad or just bad design, but the toothbrush allows water in and creates the perfect environment for mold and mildew. The mold was not only in the toothbrush bowl, which was relatively easy to clean, but also inside the brush, which was impossible to clean. I am very disappointed in this product and highly recommend…

Mold Beauty & Personal Care

I received this product in April. It is now July and there was black mold in the toothbrush which you can see and smell. I had to throw away my whole toothbrush. I don't usually write bad reviews, but I'm very disappointed. This is not only a poorly made product, but also a health issue. I also tried contacting support about this issue but to no avail.

Pros
  • Well Built
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

OH MOLD: Sonic

Despite good deep cleaning, travel and battery life, this thing isn't waterproof. By that I mean that where you unscrew the cap on your toothbrush, mold has started to grow. I told my dentist that I bought this product and she said a Sonicare product should never be $20. They start at around $100. I understand why this is a $20 product. Don't be like me and many others and don't spend an extra dollar. You get what you paid for

Pros
  • Rugged Construction

I'm not sure if this is normal, but.

I'm not sure if this is normal but I've had this toothbrush for 9 months and it no longer holds a charge. I start using it and after a few seconds it turns off. It's fully charged so I'm not sure what the problem is and since I bought it in January I can't contact the seller to arrange a return or exchange. Might sell for $20, but can it even last a year?

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • No instructions

Buy this. This is Sonicare's best model.

Sonicare makes too many models and most of them have strange flaws. Some models have brush heads that fall off easily. For some, the cleaning effect is so weak that it is ineffective. Some use brush heads that cost a fortune and only last a few weeks. But this particular model is a winner. It does what it's supposed to and doesn't have the annoying bugs of other Sonicare models. If you need a Sonicare toothbrush, buy this model. If you already own a Sonicare toothbrush and it has an ugly design

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliability

Secret: Electric Toothbrushes and Accessories

I'm a dentist and have been using Sonicare brushes since 1992. This is an older model (2nd generation) and more durable than later models. The handle is much thicker (and heavier) than the newer models, and the brush heads screw on (newer models just snap on). This can be a significant disadvantage for some users, but I haven't had any issues with it and it will last for many years. The only thing that can really kill him is an old battery. Mechanically there are no internal moving parts in…
