I've had this for over a year and use it every night. It's awesome and it has a 6 hour timer to turn off charging. I like that most people would forget to unplug the standard charger and they use quite a bit of power (at least according to my data). It also sits well in the socket.

Great little product. I use it to charge my laptop and mobile phone and it switches itself off after 6 hours, which significantly improves the batteries in the devices and also saves some electricity. Sometimes I take it into the kitchen to set a 6 hour timer on the dehydrator when I'm cooking jerky. The only downside is that it's pretty chunky for an outlet and USB.

I'm forgetful. I connect nickel cadmium batteries to the charger because I know they can't be charged for more than 6 hours. I intend to return them and unplug them, but often find them still connected after a few days. I started charging my nickel cadmium batteries with a 24 hour timer which I set for 6 hours and then 18 hours, thinking that if I forget my items I would have more time to get them find and turn off.
