PHILIPS Vision CAN Bus Warning Canceller Review

Please note that my comments here reflect the general product category as I believe these shortcomings are likely to apply to other brands as well. They didn't impress me for two reasons: 1) They didn't fool the electronics on my 2007 Mercedes and the LED bulb didn't work properly. So don't work on all cars! 2) Installing a resistor greatly reduces the purpose of a low power LED! I would hope the lifespan would be longer but I guess I'll never know.

I have decided to replace my 194 bulb marker lights with new housings with integrated LEDs. The new lights came with 25w resistors which worked for CANBUS but got VERY hot. I replaced them with these, which also work and don't get as hot. After reading some other reviews about them falling apart I decided to coat the ends with heat resistant epoxy before installing them. I installed a couple of these lights on my truck and they worked like clockwork until after 3 months I started getting error messages from my truck saying the lights were out. I installed this on a 2019 Chevy Express. I replaced both rear brake/turn signal/running lights with LED bulbs. These headlights are quite difficult to change (four screws and two clips).
