Easy to clean for kitchen and dining room

I prefer those where the fermentation rate is better measured by a bubble. I'm having a harder time following this or I got the wine wrong. Still does what it's supposed to and doesn't break like the others I've ordered. Absolutely easy to care for and worth the purchase!

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Faulty

Good gateways at a good price.

I use these gates for wine making and they work well. The locks are strong enough and the stoppers fit my 5 gallon and 6 gallon glass bottles. Vodka should not affect the taste.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Only available in white

The size is wrong. Too small for a 3 gallon bottle

Asked about size before buying. I received a reply from the seller confirming that they are 100% suitable for a 3 gallon polypropylene bottle. They don't even come close and are too small. Don't waste 90 minutes going back to the nearest UPS location. Eventually I'll just replace the plug with a big one, but for now I'm looking for a big plug for the gateway.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Not sure

The plug is not real rubber and does not work

The locks are fine but the plugs are useless. Not only are they too big to fit in a gallon jug and several bottles, but the rubber is of very poor quality. They slip out of the hole because the rubber is too hard and slippery. If the rubber were softer they could actually fit in the neck of a gallon jar and stick. It looks more like a soft plastic cork than a real rubber cork. Basically they are useless if the stopper doesn't work.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • crumpled

Received used/damaged gateways

The gateways I received were used and damaged. There are dozens of small scratches and two cracks inside and outside the locks (I've posted pictures). To get that kind of damage, these things had to be used very extensively and/or bouncing and scratching for a long time. Obviously this company does some sketchy stuff so I wouldn't hesitate to use them even if you don't get scratched gateways as they clearly sell used gateways.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Expensive

Beautiful and durable - home brewing and winemaking

I always go for the old three piece standard, it's a solid construction that will last for years in capable hands. The design is as efficient as a ventilation system can be, and it's shatterproof. A little advice I would give to novice brewers when planning a brew that will take some time, such as: B. Met, which can last up to 12 hours. months before completion. Use tequila or vodka instead of water in the airlock, this will prevent mold and bacteria from getting in which can cause problems…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Legacy model

Affordable and effective

I bought a set and it works so well I bought another set soon after. Thanks to a review from another customer, I adjusted the lids of the plastic jars (made holes with a dremel, smoothed them out and sandpapered them by hand) and they work great! Yes they are inexpensive but they don't feel cheap and I expect to be using them for a long time. It's cold where I live, so sauerkraut, pickles, and sriracha can take quite a long time to ferment; With them on my lids I didn't have to worry about mold

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost OK
