Affordable and effective
I bought a set and it works so well I bought another set soon after. Thanks to a review from another customer, I adjusted the lids of the plastic jars (made holes with a dremel, smoothed them out and sandpapered them by hand) and they work great! Yes they are inexpensive but they don't feel cheap and I expect to be using them for a long time. It's cold where I live, so sauerkraut, pickles, and sriracha can take quite a long time to ferment; With them on my lids I didn't have to worry about mold growth or manual venting at all. A small price for peace of mind!
