Good for steel. Do not use on stainless steel

This works for a few cuts on steel, but I broke the tip with no major bend. I tried cutting stainless steel and it was absolutely useless. Even at low speed with lube and lots of pressure it won't dent.

It is good value for money

I recently received a set of pilot drill bits which I have used once. It looks great, is solid, drills through 1/8" stainless steel with ease. And no visible damage to the drill bits. I'll rate the durability and reliability later. So far it looks like good value for the money.

The Revain listing photos show the Quality Center drill bit set, but that's what you get.

The photos from Revain's list show a QUALITY pilot drill set with QUALITY laser engraving to clearly identify the pilot drill size. What you get is a cheap set of center drill bits with markings that you CANNOT read clearly. In some cases the smaller center drills have NO marking at all. In addition, the center drill case is too small to store the center drills. Sharp precision center drills rattled in the container during shipping. There is NO way to separate the center drills from each otherโ€ฆ

Good Product: Countersink Drill

center drill years used, but, as many know, it is almost impossible to find use in stores. At the moment I can't rate "Durability" or "Durability". I've only used #5 so far. I drilled a steel pipe plug, it worked as it should with no problems. A must have for anyone working with metal. Center drills save many broken drills.

Worked great on a job

I drilled and tapped an aluminum rod at each end to mount a GPS motorcycle stand. When tapping a 1/4" thread I tried to find the center drill closest to the OD of the tap. Used a drill press and a juror to align the round bar and drill head so that everything was centered and drilled out with a pilot drill.Worked like a champ making sure my tap was properly centered and aligned when I started tapping the tap.The pilot drill was only used once in soft aluminum so I don't know how he will holdโ€ฆ
