48-Piece Electrical Outlet Spacers Extender Kit with Extra Long Outlet Screws (Red) Review

Easy to cut. I had an outlet outside of my home that could be pushed in about an inch or so. Connecting things has been a pain from time to time. Put those baddies in there and voila, like magic, the outlet was always where it was supposed to be.

They were perfect for what I needed. The only reason they weren't given five stars was that they shrink a bit as you twist the outlet, making them difficult to cut to the right length. As long as you're cutting for compression, you won't be spending as much as I have.

Works very well. Cut a piece of plastic a little longer than necessary to fill the gap. It shrinks a bit and fills the gap between the can and the socket or switch. I don't leave many reviews. But this one was worth it. The package is missing. 4 stars because of the cardboard box.

This is a lifesaver. I've used other hard plastic versions with preset spacing and they never fit. These worked without any problems. Probably the most appealing feature is that they're made out of rubber, so you don't have to be that specific. Cut them off a bit and screw them on to tighten them at the right distance.

Great item. In most cases I don't use the screws that come with it, I just cut a piece about twice as long as the box is countersunk. The rubber compresses as you attach the socket, so it's a snug fit and doesn't wobble. They are required for screwless panels so that you can also get a panel with a socket. Four really deep/recessed boxes, included screws come in handy.

I purchased this product because I needed socket spacers for light switches on a stone fireplace wall. First, the rubber clearances are only 2.75 inches, not 3 inches. But more importantly, it took about 3 inches for my efforts to work. Unfortunately they only give you 1.5" screws so I go to my local hardware store. Maybe I'm missing something in the math, but if you're selling a 3" gasket, the manufacturer shouldn't include a 3" bolt.

So I used both the blue control box extension and these rubber grommets. Gaskets are better and lighter for my application. Cut them a few eighths of an inch too long. This helps add tension. The only problem is that it is difficult to align the bins with the plate as there is only one central pivot where the rubber spacer sits. In general, because I'm not looking for perfection, but security and at least a decent finish.

This is amazing! I wish I knew about this in my last home! Last time I used the ones from the big store and they were terrible. This new house I bought had an incompetent electrician who installed all the boxes deep. It was the answer to all my expenses. They don't even need to be carefully trimmed, if you cut something longer just tighten them down to the desired depth. I would like to think about this invention.
