The band has enough tension to fit snugly around the rim. It has enough stretch to center easily. It's certainly thick enough, and the connection in the valve hole is well made and solid.

If you compare what I ordered and what I received, you will find that there are nice neat rolls and messy packaging! They are difficult to install because they are all crumpled! Very disappointing! They work as advertised.

They are cheap. They work. I replaced the broken strap with this one. No problem. And it appears to be the same tape that I've seen on the new wheels without the logos. So 5 runs because I haven't had a single tire break with this tape in over two years.

This rim tape obviously looks pretty tasteless - weird bright red plastic. It definitely doesn't look as cool as a Ritchey or Schwalbe band. However, it doesn't matter as it happens inside the rim and no one will ever see it. And it's a lot cheaper and it works well. Just use it and you will forget about it after the first ride.

I bought this based on all the positive reviews. You get what you pay for! I've drilled spoke rivets through the material on one wheel and ripped material in the spoke cavity on the other wheel. In all cases, the tubes exploded shortly after being inflated to atmospheric pressure (80-100 pounds). I went through half a dozen inner tubes before realizing those cheap rims were the problem. We might be able to use them instead of floral tape, but certainly not on a bike.

Most other tapes were sold in pairs for about the same price. This one included 8 bands and 2 tire levers for the same price, which I liked a lot better. I have 3 bikes and have decided to replace the rim tape on all of them, although only one had problems with flats due to the spoke nuts pressing against the tube.
