worked great for my AVIC-F920BT in my Pontiac Grand Prix 04. Only thing I can say is that it didn't come with a metal plate to avoid hurting others, it's worth buying .

CarPlay maps work great with this GPS, but also work great without it. I'm not sure, but I believe if the head unit provides a GPS signal output, CarPlay will use it, and if no GPS signal is available, Apple Maps will use the iPhone's GPS signal. I tried it and it worked both ways.

I hooked it up tightly to my Pioneer AVIC 8000NEX, received the radio without some of the cables and ordered this replacement cable as it didn't come with it. It includes a fairly long cable so you can install it almost anywhere in your car. I installed it just under the thin center dash of my 2009 Toyota Tacoma so I had to wrap the excess and it seems to be working properly and picking up satellite signals descending.

I ordered this not knowing I would need the metal plate that comes with the original OEM. In any case, everything worked without it. I wish they would have provided me with 3m of double sided tape but I had a few to use. It has enough wiring to hide in the headliner/dash so it looks like it was factory installed.

I contacted the seller and got no response, the GPS on my Pioneer AVIH-5100 NEX doesn't recognize the cable to receive the signal so I'm stuck with no GPS on my radio. It tells me to contact my manufacturer but they don't answer that bbbooooo for you. I really wanted it to work and wanted to get a five higher.
