4k UHD but only standard Blu-Ray if AMD MB & Proc.

Had to send it back as it's just a standard blue ray that I already have if used with AMD. 4K UHD only works with Intel MB with SGX and powerful Intel Proc. Received nasty news about Fake's return. This is very clear in the guidance for information.

Honest and Unbiased Review by Thomas Jefferson - Very Loud

When a disc is in this player, the player is very loud. I've had players before but nothing quite as loud as this one. It's quite loud, which is annoying when it's running. My previous players were pretty loud too, but I could just ignore that. But this player is too loud to ignore. For example, I just put the Cyberlink software CD in the player to install the software. The player works with the disc and there is just too much vibration. I also tried installing a firmware update (saying it will

Misleading marketing - will only play 4K if you have certain features

This thing says it supports 4K ok read the fine print. It says you should read the FAQ and you might find a hidden secret there that it probably won't play 4K. Why don't you tell us now? What if only Intel SGX motherboards are required. You can go to the Cyberlinks website and download their utility to see if your computer meets the requirements. It becomes Dear Blue Ray Burner.

Didn't work with the software provided

After accessing all online support options I was advised to take my "BRAND NEW" computer to a shop for the techs to figure out what to do with do is. I already spoke to better specialists than in the store, so I sent it back.

Pros
  • GOLS certified

This is the 3rd unit

This is a replacement for this item. My second device failed after 30 days. It was neither read nor written. So far I'm really liking this unit. I bought one last year and it still works great to this day. I hope that one day this device can copy UHD, but it can't do that yet (that's the only downside). It can copy DVD and BD perfectly. This is a fast unit.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Requires specific Intel technology and hardware.

The CyberLink software for this product requires specific Intel technology and hardware (CPU, motherboard and graphics card) to function properly. Without Intel products you will get an HDCP error even if your hardware supports HDCP. I recommend that you visit the requirements for this product (PowerDVD: Ultra HD Blue Ray) on the CyberLink website before taking the risk of purchasing it. These claims by Intel should be included in the advertisement.

  • Great Value

The drive is fine so far.

I haven't had a floppy disk for a long time and so far it seems to play normally, the software sucks, at least there is a movie player. I had to download the free Leawo player to play Kiki's Blue-Ray Delivery Service because the Cyberlink was throwing errors. I paid extra, partly for software, to play Blu-rays and some of them won't or won't play. He complained that I had to change the setting (following the link on the page) to enable hardware interlacing and lol it was already set there. I…
