Pioneer reigns when it comes to value for money.

You can't go wrong with Pioneer these days, I've been an Alpine fan for a long time and still am, but they are quite expensive, Pioneer gives you great quality at a great price.

Not what was expected.

This device is very cheap, Bluetooth audio doesn't work for I Phone users and for some reason doesn't save radio station presets even when connected as advertised. (I've installed hundreds of head units, so this isn't a problem.)

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Some flaws

Not worth the hassle, don't buy

Totally disappointed that I can't connect to Samsung S10. Don't waste your money if you have problems, no support. I was so sick of Pioneer I should have known better about this purchase. I hate it when there isn't a simple answer to this question that promotes simplicity. This is a joke, don't hurry, don't have a blue tooth and my phone isn't the newest. This is the Samsung S10. This company has no support, so you are here alone. Much luck

dark screen on car radios

The screen is very difficult to read during the day. I want it to always tell the time and be a lot brighter. I love that Bluetooth automatically starts playing my music when my phone is nearby. To install it I needed an antenna adapter and a wire harness (which I bought from crutchfeild). The radio sounds good. As with many modern tech devices, the amount it can reach outweighs the space needed to make the controls easier to manage. Reading the instructions helped me

Quality and great sound!

I have a Pioneer in my car that has been running great for a few years and has a great sound. So when the Clarion in my wife's car started interfering with the trip computer and shutting down the car, it's time to get another tried and tested Pioneer. I like the buttons on this one. I also like the USB port on the front, mine is on the back and I needed a cable to use it. It may not sound convincing, but it's the typical Pioneer quality that makes me buy them again. I will continue to do so.

Good unit and very easy to use

This car stereo was bought to replace a stolen one from our old Jeep CJ-7. We installed it professionally, so I can't comment on the ease of installation. I can only say about the user-friendliness. Connecting your phone and using bluetooth for your phone and music is very simple. Being familiar with bluetooth pairing in general, I didn't even need to open the manual to pair my iPhone 6 with this device and I was set up in about 3 minutes and able to make and receive calls and play music. I was

Not happy with OLD VERSION - Misrepresented

Purchased 1.10. Received quickly via Prime as usual. It seems to me that most of the reviews on this product page are for the updated version of this model. The device I received does not have an SCR button or multi-directional arrows for navigation, just a large knob for switching inputs, accessing menus/settings etc. The only options available mean "Old Version" and "Old BT Receiver". ". The picture is what I received at the time of this review. Positive comments about easy navigation should…

Cheaper than upgrading your plan.

Purchase reason was USB podcast capability. I used to use the web browser on my phone to start podcasts, but by the end of the month I kept getting the "data limit exceeded" message. Downloading podcasts to a flash drive does not require excessive CD burning time and avoids data limitations. I am using a 16GB AData USB 3.0 flash drive with this device. I have been using Pioneer car radios since 1996 and as a brand I find them very reliable and sound good. What usually happens after a few years…

Great bang for your buck - some limitations and design flaws, although

Love this main unit. Here's what I experienced - good and not so good. Installing the speakers and power wires was easy for a 2003 Camry with the Metra 70-1761 radio wiring harness. Ensure that the wired microphone (for hands-free phone use) is routed and positioned so that it connects to the rear jack on the device before inserting the dash-mounted device into the dash-mounted mounting sleeve. Otherwise you will have to remove the head unit to connect the microphone cable to it later. The…
