EFFICIENT FOR CHEAP POWERFUL PERFORMANCE

This amp is good. I hooked this up to Mazda 3. All Pioneer speakers are 50W RMS Level 2. Advantages: small size, light weight, cool temperature, low current, clear sound. Cons: Connectors are not shielded, connectors look cheap. I still think Pioneer should make the Alpine PDX-5 killer for those who value looks and trunk space.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Very clean and powerful amp

I'll start with a good compact amp. Very low heat and was a great addition to my system. I have a Clarion head unit with 53 watts per channel. It just wasn't loud or punchy enough, I needed a little more. I bought this and added it to my 4 Alpine speakers in the front and WOW this thing is awesome. Excellent clear sound, easy installation and low power consumption. I highly recommend this compact amp. I'm actually considering replacing my Sony Explode 750w subwoofer with another Pioneer Class D

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • A few small things

Great little amp, the best in automotive and automotive electronics

Great amp for the money. Very small for its size. I connected it to 4 ohms in a bridge circuit with a set of Polk DXI6500 components. It's crystal clear, no noise. Very powerful and doesn't get too hot. The only thing I want is remote amplification. The amplifier is installed in a hard-to-reach place. Since I'm also using it to drive another set of liftgate speakers (installed a switch and used a set of speaker boxes), I'd like to be able to adjust the gain without taking my truck apart. I…

This is a fantastic amp!

What a great amp. Small and works very, very cool. I have very little airflow under the rear cargo area floor. I plan to place a 2D mono amp in the same place, add a plexiglass window and two fans. At this point I think fans will care more about the looks than anything else as I said it works so cool I couldn't believe it. But this is an FD class amp, so it will definitely give your components everything they need. I've added a photo of the storage under the cargo area of my '06 Kia Sorrento…

Very cool car audio amplifier

I use this amplifier under the passenger seat where space is limited. If you have a large installation area, the higher price of this amp might not be worth it - you're paying for a small size. However, when space is at a premium, this amp couldn't be better. I hook up my front components on 2 channels and bridge the other 2 channels for the subwoofer. This amp never gets hot. It turns on automatically when a signal is detected, simplifying installation as you don't have to run a power-on…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Good but not great

HOLY S. BAD BONE

I'll keep it short and sweet like this amp. I recently replaced my dual amps with kickers. The doubles were pretty good and the kickers were certainly better. I then got a chance to listen to it so thought I'd give it a try for the price. Bad ass, way better than my kicker amps - I was shocked. That's why I donated the Kicker Amps. And also acquired the pioneer gm-d7500. These little amps stay cold, not even warm. A person can beat them, and so clear. One wonders how some of the other guys can…
